World-renowned American rap artist, Kanye West, has announced another opera, via Twitter, Mary, scheduled to take place on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Miami Marine Stadium, in Miami, FL.
The Miami Marine Stadium is typically used for power boat races, so the utilization at this point is unknown. Rather than a field, there are bleachers that overlook a mass of water.
Last month, West debuted his first opera, Nebuchadnezzar, directed by Vanessa Beecroft, whom will once again, direct the upcoming opera, Mary. The music used during the opera was new and unique, although, certain songs paid homage to some of West’s songs such as his song “Wolves” from Life of Pablo.
Currently, there is not information on the musical style of his upcoming opera, and the utilization of his past songs for the musical score. Tickets are available online, starting at $200.
West recently debuted his music video for his song “Closed On Sunday,” last month. The video featured his wife, Kim Kardashian, along with their children.
