Allen Stone is an incredibly talented and soulful musician hailing from the remote town of Chewelah, Washington. Allen will be starting his tour in February of 2020, making his way to the Union Transfer in Philadelphia on the 1st of March. He will be showcasing his latest album, Building Balance which was released earlier this month on the 8th of November. This album fully showcases his pure musical ability and artistic presence. He is able to use his many inspirations, including R&B/Soul legends from Stevie Wonder to Marvin Gaye to Aretha Franklin, to produce his own unique sound.
The album contains slower songs such as Brown Eyed Lover and Lay it Down which put his incredible vocal range and ability on display. It also has faster and more upbeat songs such as Back to the Swing and Taste of You, where simple yet powerful sounds like the keyboard, acoustic guitar, and brass instruments really shine. In both cases, he delivers strong messages and toe-tapping melodies throughout the album.
Since coming out with his viral hit Unaware, from his second LP, Allen Stone has been gaining a lot of traction, and for good reason. This new album has already accumulated millions of streams in a very short period of time. This may be a career-defining LP for him and he will be performing it, along with his other songs, at the Union Transfer on March 1st. If you haven’t heard of him before, give Allen Stone a listen and save the date because this is a show that you won’t want to miss. The doors open at 7:00 on March 1st and the tickets are only $25 right now. More info on the show can be found here. Tickets can be bought here.
