The Tons of Rock festival in Oslo, Norway has announced its 2020 lineup featuring the likes of Faith No More, Iron Maiden, and Amon Amarth, who will perform at the Ekerberg Campgrounds from June 25th to June 27th, next year. Other prominent artists on the bill include Deep Purple, Bring Me The Horizon, Within Temptation, Disturbed, Gojira and Baroness.
Tons of Rock will host one of three scheduled Faith No More European festival appearances, following Hellfest Open Air in France, and Ireland’s Sunstroke Festival. Their Sunstroke appearance marks their return to the festival as hjeadliners, as well as the festival’s first appearance back on the festival circuit in 25 years.
Earlier this year Faith No More teased an announcement with a countdown on their social media pages and website. Last year members of the band revealed plans to work on new music in the future, although further announcements regarding future recordings have not been made as of press time.
Iron Maiden will make an appearance at the Download Festival in the UK, alongside acts such as Gojira and System of a Down. The band made a huge splash earlier this year, with the group selling out their Rock in Rio show in a mere two hours.
Amon Amarth made a historically realistic music video depicting early Viking villages and raids during their music video for “Shield Wall.” One of their recent shows with Arch Enemy however, received some trouble after a man was stabbed outside of their concert in Canada.
