A new video from Taylor Hawkins & the Coattail Riders has been released by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins for the new single, “I Really Blew It” from new album, Get The Money. Many artists are featured on the new album, including members of Guns N’ Roses, Queen, Heart and more. Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl and Jane’s Addiction frontman, Perry Farrell are both featured in the new video for “I Really Blew It” which shows Hawkins wearing a wig while having a confrontation with his supposed wife. They sit in their living room having it out, while Grohl’s face is featured above the blazing fire from the fireplace. He mouths the words, “I Really Blew It” in a fury, while miniature figures of Farrell and band are atop the living room table.
While the pair continue to fight and disagree on all topics, Farrell and band fluctuate wildly while playing the song set as mini figurines on the table. At one point, the woman who is adorned in a sultry, white silk robe spits on the miniature band mate. The couple eventually heads to the bedroom to make up but it’s obvious this is a raging war between husband and wife with the man feeling at odds with losing his mind in the process.
The band, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders was founded by Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters. Other band members include Chris Chaney on bass, Gannin Arnold on guitar and support vocals, and Nate Wood on guitar and support vocals. Chaney and Hawkins had previously been in Alanis Morissette’s tour band ‘Sexual Chocolate.’ The music project was launched when Hawkins started recording a few songs at a home studio owned by a friend, Drew Hester. This ended up spawning a band, with Taylor Hawkins on vocals.
On March 21, 2006, the band released their debut self-titled album Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders which included 11 songs recorded by the band during 2004. Their first official video was of the first song off the album, titled “Louise.” They later released the album Red Light Fever which features guest musicians Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, and Elliot Easton of The Cars. It was recorded at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in California.
The band just released their third album, Get The Money this week on November 8, 2019. The first single, “Crossed The Line,” dropped on October 15 featuring Foo Fighters’ bandmate Dave Grohl and Yes frontman Jon Davison.
