American singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis has shared a new video for “Rabbit Hole,” featuring live footage shot during On The Line Online, a three-hour fundraiser that took place in March, which raised over $10,000 for the Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Center. This video was directed by Eric Notarnicola, who worked with the Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Nathan For You and Who Is America? and was produced by Abso Lutely Productions.
“Rabbit Hole,” features upbeat songwriting and instrumentals, complimented by Lewis’ vocal delivery and voice over a dreamy indie/alt country combination driving the instrumental. The track features costumed figures dancing around a backdrop reminiscent of a talk show, mixed in with elements of videos shot by artists such as Jonathan Bree, due to the costumes and strange choreography.
“Rabbit Hole” her most recent album release On The Line, which dropped earlier this year, which was followed by slew of Spring tour dates which saw the performer travel across the United States. Her previous single from the project “Red Bull & Hennessy,” also had a music video that was shot live and directed by Notarnicola for the On The Line Online fundraiser.
Her fourth solo album, On The Line, is an album celebrating Lewis’s growth from actress to singer-songwriter to story-teller as she combines her country twang with her indie-rock roots,” mxdwn reviewer Ally Tatosian explained. “The album touches on real-life issues that Lewis dealt with while recording, a breakup with a long time partner and the death of her mother.”
