The annual Stagecoach music festival will be touching down again next year at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, from April 24th to April 26th. This year’s line-up features a variety guests, from the standard Nashville country acts such as Thomas Rhett, Alan Jackson and Eric Church, more pop country acts such as Carrie Underwood and Billy Ray Cyrus, to Southern rock legends ZZ Top and even country hip hop artist Lil Nas X.
In addition to these musical events, chef of Guy Fieri will be hosting the Stagecoach Smokehouse, while EDM producer, Diplo, who has been making country music as of late, will be hosting Late Night In Palomino again this year. In addition, Satellite Radio giants SiriusXM will be hosting the Spotlight Stage.
Church made an appearance at Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival earlier this year, which featured acts such as the The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Dawes. Church has performed at several Stagecoach festivals and stated: “Been fortunate enough to play Stagecoach a few times. They will most certainly get everything the band and I have!”
Underwood has headlined Stagecoach in 2016, alongside Church, and stated in a press release: “There’s nothing like a Stagecoach audience and I can’t wait to take that stage again!”
The diversity of this year’s line-up may raise a few eyebrows for Country purists, earlier this year LIl Nas X was kicked off of the Billboard Country Music charts for not embracing “enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version.” This likely helped the performer score the longest running number one ever, as it soared through the charts upon its removal.
