The annual Rock Am Ring and Rock Am Park festivals have announced their 2020 line-up featuring a multitude of high profile acts including System of a Down, Green Day, Korn, Weezer, Deftones and Disturbed. This festival will take place at two different locations, within the same region with Rock am Ring taking place at the Nürburgring race track in Nürburg on June 5th and Rock Am Park taking place at the Zeppelinfeld in nearby Nuremberg on June 7th.

While the event originated in 1985, the festival has been held annually every year since 1993 in various venues across Germany. The decision to split the two festivals with identical line-ups across two days began in 2017, and has been held that way since. In 2017 the festival was evacuated after it received a terror threat.
System of a Down’s frontman Serj Tankian released a cover of the Game of Thrones song “The Rains of Castamere” earlier this year. Prior to this cover, Tankian composed the soundtrack for the videogame Midnight Star.
Deftones performed a set earlier this year at Pasadena Daydream, alongside the likes of The Cure, The Pixies and Chelsea Wolfe. They also performed the Koi No Yokan Track “Gauze” live for the first time ever at the festival.
Green Day will be embarking on the Hella Mega Tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy next year.
