GosT Announces New Album Valediction for October 2019 Release

Mysterious metal/synthwave artist GosT has announced his next album, Valediction. Valediction will be released on October 4th through Century Media Records. GosT’s primary collaborator on the project is Jaime Gomez Arellano, who led the recording, mixing, and mastering. Arellano has been involved with a number of unique metal projects, including the works of Paradise Lost, Solstafir, Priomordial, and many others. They describe the results of their collaboration on Valediction as, “a volatile mix that ranges from synthwave/retrowave to the most raging and extreme caverns of black metal”.

GosT is currently touring the United States with Century Media label mates 3TEETH and Author & Punisher, and will be appearing at a few European music festivals in mid-August. GosT got his start as a musician as a teenager in metal bands, but slowly started to move towards the retro sound and synthwave electronics that eventually became the basis of his unique blend of genres. This blend attracted fans all over the world, and led GosT to take on headlining tours across multiple continents and even perform with the likes of Black Dahlia Murder, Power Trip, and Khemmis.

This fall, GosT will be embarking on a European tour with Mayhem and Gaahls Wyrd. The tour begins on October 31st at the Doornroosje in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and will conclude on November 30th at the Pustervik in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
