Poolside Release New Song “Can’t Stop Your Lovin'” Featuring Panama And Announce Summer 2019 Tour Dates

Dance music group Poolside have just released a new single called “Can’t Stop Your Loving”, featuring Panama. This is their first release of any kind in over two years, and in a bit of a change in style, the most pop-focused release of maybe their entire career. In addition to the Panama feature, the song also includes contributions from the the live band that Poolside has been touring with for roughly the past 18 months. The current incarnation of the band consists of frontman Jeffrey Paradise, drummer Vito Roccoforte, bassist/vocalist Mattie Safer, percussionist Brijean Murphy, and multi-instrumentalist Casey Butler.

With “Can’t Stop Your Loving”, Poolside have crafted an great tune primed for the beach. The excellent hook (“I can’t stop when you’re with me / I just can’t stop all your loving / I can’t stop, you’re playing with me / I just can’t stop all your loving”), funky synths and rhythms, and bouncy percussion come together to form an infectious few minutes sure to end your summer on a high note. The brief breakdown around the three minute mark where the majority of the production disappears, aside from the clap and vocals, creates a particularly memorable moment when the rest of the instrumentation comes cascading back in for the final chorus.

Along with the new song, Poolside also announced their 2019 North American and 2020 European tour dates in support of Kacey Musgraves and Tycho. The tour begins on August 20th at The Chelsea in Las Vegas, and concludes on March 5th, 2020 at Printworks in London.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
