This weekend is the 2019 edition of the venerable and influential Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. The performers this year include Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Kevin Morby, Dawes, Phil Lesh of Grateful Dead, Trey Anastasio of Phish, Lake Street Dive, E.B. The Younger, Phosphorescent, Portugal. The Man and more.

Those that aren’t able to make it out to Newport, Rhode Island can catch the mellow vibes of this folk and Americana festival from the comfort of their home. In a partnership with TuneIn, the festival will have select sets livestreaming throughout the weekend.

On Friday, the livestream will showcase sets from rising indie pop group Black Belt Eagle Scout, English singer-songwriter Yola, bluesy roots rocker Parker Millsap, Gov’t Mule and Allman Brothers guitarist Warren Haynes, Willie’s son Lukas Nelson performing with his band Promise of the Real, folk singer-songwriter Todd Snider and the jam band legend Phil Lesh.

Saturday will feature sets from Virginia duo Illiterate Light, old school R&B influenced singer Devon Gilfillian, indie roots rock band The Nude Party, English singer-songwriter Jade Bird, South African-born, Pennsylvania-raised folky Gregory Alan Isakov, alt-country artist Rayland Baxter, Dylan-influenced singer-songwriter Kevin Morby, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and country rock group Dawes.

Finally on Sunday the lineup includes Midlake frontman Eric Pulido’s great solo project E.B. The Younger, Americana scene stalwarts Lake Street Dive, Phish founder Trey Anastasio, alternative folk sensations Phosphorescent and the night’s final set by perhaps the biggest odd duck at the festival, Portugal. The Man.

In anticipation of the festival, TuneIn is presenting a special Newport Folk Festival radio station, which will help listeners get ready for the festival. TuneIn has also partnered with festivals like Life Is Beautiful and Shaky Knees.
