The man who allegedly stalked and filmed A$AP Rocky in Sweden will not be charged. According to The Fader, Magnus Stromberg, a lawyer for the man, told CNN that Swedish prosecutors had confirmed to him in writing that his client would not be charged. He states “He has been the subject of an assault, but he has not committed a crime.” Rocky was arrested for “gross assault” earlier this month and is now held in Sweden prison. It has been said that he is in inhumane conditions. Police officials have stated that he is being treated like every other prisoner as well as Rocky’s attorney Henrik Olsson Lilj denying a TMZ Report that claimed the rapper was not fed properly, water not being clean, and sleeping on yoga mats with no blankets.
President Trump also got in the mix. Kanye and Kim Kardashian West lobbied Trump to look further into the arrest. Trump got in contact with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven and tweeted what transpired in the conversation. He said that Prime Minister assured him that A$AP Rocky will be treated fairly. No word on when Rocky will be released, with the rapper canceling the rest of his European tour as a result. He is still currently set to perform at the Real Street Festival in Anaheim, CA alongside Big Sean, Meek Mill, and Cardi B.
