Italian goth metal icon group Lacuna Coil and Massachusetts-based metal band All That Remains have announced a joint tour for fall 2019. The “Disease Of The Anima” North American tour will feature openers such as Bad Omens, Toothgrinder, Eximious and Uncured.
Lacuna Coil announced earlier this month that they will be releasing their forthcoming album, Black Anima, in October while their last album, Delerium, was released in 2016 and debuted at #16 on the Current Album Chart and at #2 on the Hard Rock Chart. Formed in 1994, the band has spent over 20 years changing the metal genre and has sold over 1.1 million records.
Formed two years after Lacuna Coil in 1998, All That Remain have upheld a legacy of being a strong beacon of heavy metal music. They have written and produced legendary metal songs such as the top 10 hits “Two Weeks,” “What If I Was Nothing” and their first number one “Stand Up.”
All That Remains experience a devastating year in 2018 as their guitarist, Oil Herbert, was found dead in a pound at age 44. The band expressed their condolences in saying: “We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away. Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely…”
More information about the circumstances surrounding Herbert’s death was revealed when investigators discovered that he died from drowning while he had also not paid an over $130,000 loan. His wife stated “Oli was apparently self-treating for manic-depression that has run in his family for several generations. Anti-depressants were found in his system, as well as a sleep aid.”
The band will continue to carry on Herbert’s legacy with their kind words and the prolonging of All That Remain’s discography. Tickets for the tour go on sale starting July 26th at 12:00 p.m.
