Alma Announces Debut Album Have You Seen Her? for September 2019 Release

Finnish pop singer Alma has announced that her upcoming album titled Have You Seen Her? will be released this September.

For those who are not familiar with Alma, she broke through in 2013 when she was a contestant on the Finnish reality-television singing competition Idols. Two years later she featured on Finnish rapper Sini Sabotage’s song “Muuta ku mä,” which lead her to sign onto Universal Music Group in 2016.

Alma released her first single called “Karma” that same year she got signed along with many other singles since.

Her most recent single “Lonely Night” is a dream pop jam that is on the level of modern pop tyrants such as Halsey and Troye Sivan released today. The single is a preview of how the album will sound: dark, mysterious and free-spirited like the singer herself.

The queer artist has writing credential’s on recent Miley Cyrus songs such as “Cattitude” and “Mother’s Daughter” and also wrote on Matoma’s song “One in a Million.” Miley bonded with Alma during the songwriting process and tattooed that word “Gay” on her arm. She even posted a picture of the legendary former Disney star and pop icon licking the tattoo.

Given her credentials, Alma is truly a songwriting powerhouse that will not fail to deliver a pristine dream pop album this year. Following up to the album release, she has debuted singles throughout 2019 such as “When I die” and “Summer.”

This is just the beginning of the young singer’s career and she has already gone beyond creating music for the general listener as she has made a song for the Finnish family cartoon series Moominivalley called “Starlight.”

The music community will be waiting in anticipation for her album this fall that undoubtedly leave an impression on music fans throughout the world.

Alex Myers: I'm an Okie living in L.A. writing about music and other things that I'm passionate about. I was raised by musicians and I grew up playing bass guitar, piano and cello. You can always find me with my headphones on or glued to my phone reading the latest music news. My passion for music lead me to attend college at Loyola Marymount University in L.A. with the dreams of making a living in the music industry. After interning for two record labels I was certain that working in the music industry was not for me. However, when I started writing for my college's newspaper, I figured out that I was a talented writer and I subsequently changed my career path. Now I'm combining my two passions and aspiring to become a music writer.
