Murder City Devils @ Teragram Ballroom 8/13

Seattle-based punk band, Murder City Devils, will play Teragram Ballroom on August 13. Formed in the mid 90’s and re-formed in 2006 with member’s: Spencer Moody (vocals), Dan Gallucci (guitar), Dereck Fudesco (bass), Coady Willis (drums) and Nate Manny (guitar/bass). They are known for their raw sound, garage-rock melodies and a fondness for the electric organ.

With five albums; The Murder City Devils (1997), Empty Bottles, Broken Hearts (1998), In Name And Blood (2000), R.I.P (2003) and The White Ghost Has Blood on Its Hands Again (2014), they have built up and maintained an eclectic toughness to their music. You can expect an atmospheric performance of hits such as ‘Boom Swagger Boom’, ‘Idle Hands’, ‘Press Gang’, ‘Rum to Whiskey’ and many more from their cache.

Teragram Ballroom, the West-Coast sibling of Michael Swier’s Bowery Ballroom, opened in 2015. With a 600 person capacity, its former life as a movie theatre, this rock venue invites all ages to a relatively intimate space. Doors will open at 7.00pm with the show due to start at 8.00pm, general admission (standing only) is from $26. With over 18 years worth of live performances under their belt, a loyal fan-base and a bewitching authenticity – this will be the full experience, more than a performance it will be a collaboration rich with perspiration, between stage and audience.
