Summer Salt with Motel Radio and Dante Elephante at The Foundry 7/23

If you couldn’t tell by their name, Summer Salt is a big summer mood. Dubbing themselves as “coral reef rock,” Summer Salt is pretty much the modern day Beach Boys. They bring back the retro beach rock of the 60s with a gentle touch and chill melodies. Band members Eugene Chung and Matt Terry met in high school in Dallas, Texas, and are now based out of Austin. They’ve been very busy putting out a ton of new music, including their first full-length album, Happy Camper, and a new single “My Lucky Egg,” which was released in April. Check out their number one song on Spotify, “Candy Wrappers,” and song from their first EP of the same name, “Driving to Hawaii.”

Opening for Summer Salt are Motel Radio and Dante Elephante. Motel Radio has its own set of beachy rock vibes, leaning more towards alt rock. They have a great EP from 2016 called Desert Surf Films. Check out their song, “Star of the South” from that EP and their top song on Spotify, “Streetlights.” Dante Elephante is an alternative rock band from LA. They take beach rock vibes and give them bit more of a retro pop punch. They released their album Rare Attractions last year, featuring their number one song on Spotify, “Call Me (On the Phone).”
