Best Coast To Serve As The House Band For Fred Savages’ New Show “What Just Happened??!”

Best Coast has been announced as the house band for Fred Savages’ new aftershow parody series, “What Just Happened” premiering on Fox June 30. According to Pitchfork, the show will break down events in a fake drama series called “The Flare,” which is based on a fake book series from Savage’s childhood. It will also include in-studio interviews with celebrity guests, visits to the set of The Flare and discussions with the show’s “cast.”Comedian Taylor Tomlinson will serve as the co-host of the show.

One half of Best Coast, Bethany Cosentino, hinted at new music from the duo late last year, stating that they will be in the studio this year recording. A release date or album title has yet to be announced. The band last released their first ever children’s album Best Kids last year exclusively on Amazon. The album featured covers of classic children songs including “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” and If You’re Happy and You Know It.”

They recently performed a set at the Beachlife Music Festival at the Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach, CA. The festival featured performances from Slightly Stoopid, Willie Nelson, Jason Mraz, and Ziggy Marley.
