Diplo’s new smash summer hit gets a futuristic vibe as he teams up with French producer Herve Pagez and Charli XCX for a very spicy rework of the beautiful classic “Wannabe” from the Spice Girls, which is an EDM-infused rendition, released Thursday, May 30th.
The track marks the first official fire collab between Diplo and the pop goddess herself Charli and, looks like the biggest release by far for Herve. The song itself is an upbeat dance anthem that will quickly catch constant rotation for summer party playlist. The video features the three geniuses in an out of this world fantasy land riding on multi-colored space dolphins who looks like a ton of fun to be around as they dance the night away in front of a galactic-themed diner.
Along with the new visual, the dancehall hit flows throughout with guitar melodies and a catchy vocal chop hook that completes the new vibe of the summer. Diplo has been cranking out wild collaborations and moving his way across genre lines all year long as he announced he will be releasing a country-inspired project entitled “Thomas Wesley” backed by his new single “So Long” featuring country singer Cam.
