Unreleased/Unreleasable Vol. 4 – A year of Wreckage, is a year long music project from 65daysofstatic that will be released monthly from May 1st 2019 to April 2020. According to 65daysofstatic “It is an archive of primordial 65 sound palettes, catalogue of (computer) errors and guitar glitches, drone ambience and breakcore math insanity, bleak strategies and escape tunnels. ” Each monthly release will vary in length but will be about the same as the release of an EP. It will feature music from their Decomposition Theory sessions.
In talking about the upcoming project 65daysofstatic stated “Since our last record in 2016 we’ve stopped caring if we’re a band or not, even though if we aren’t a band, it would be almost impossible to articulate what we actually are. We’ve investigated algorithmic music, tried writing music while living in different countries, played some weird shows consisting only of new material and without all of us being there. Nothing has changed, everything has changed. We are just 65, as always. ” The second release is for Fugue State, a video game that they mentioned on Twitter.
All new music can be streamed on a mobile device from their free Bandcamp app subscription, as well as available as a high-quality download. By subscribing, you will be supporting the band in a way fans don’t normally have the ability to. It is less expensive as Netflix and the more subscribers they get, the more they will be able to do with the app.
In addition to the year long project, 65daysofstatic will also release new album. After their 2016’s No Man’s Sky: Music For An Infinite Universe. They revealed that they decided to “ditch the openness of algorithmic infinity and make something tight, closed and intentional. Something deliberately finite. Which we did. A new album, coming out in the autumn.”
