21 Savage with DaBaby @ Pier 17 8/8

English-bred rapper 21 Savage will take the stage as part of Pier 17’s Summer Concert Series on Thursday, August 8th. Fellow notable rapper DaBaby will join to support. Doors to this show will open early at 6:30pm, and the festivities will begin an hour later at 7:30pm. Tickets are being sold for $59.50 plus fees for General Admission and $142 plus fees for VIP General Admission in the venue’s Heineken Green Zone. This show is only for those 21 years old and over.

This show serves as a stop on 21 Savage’s North American summer tour, dubbed the I Am > I Was Tour after his 2018 album of the same name. Born in London, England and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Savage has built a career off of mixtapes he released that traveled in and around the Atlanta area. Releases such as his mixtape The Slaughter Tape and later EP Savage Mode, along with a slew of collaborations with known rap players such as Drake, lead to Savage’s nationwide acclaim.

Now a part of Epic Records, 21 Savage has reached one of the highest points of his career; multiple singles of his have carved their way into the Billboard Hot 100, including “Bank Account” and Post Malone collaboration “Rockstar.” I Am > I Was proves to be Savage’s most ambitious release to date and features collaborations with some of the biggest names in the game, including Travis Scott, Childish Gambino, Offset, and J. Cole. Although he’s got a ton of star power on his side, Savage won’t need any of it when he shines at Pier 17.

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
