Death Cab for Cutie with Jenny Lewis @ Forest Hills Stadium 6/15

Staple indie alt-rock outfit Death Cab for Cutie will headline a show at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens on Saturday, June 15th. Jenny Lewis will support, with the night beginning at 6:30pm and doors opening 90 minutes earlier at 5:00pm. Ticket prices range anywhere from $39.50 going up to $79.50, not including fees.

Death Cab for Cutie came onto the scene in 1997 and has since become a key artist in the playlists of rock fans around the world. Their ninth studio album, Thank You For Today, was released back in August 2018 – but it was their earlier work, namely 2003’s Transatlanticism, that really put them on the map. Many of their most popular tracks have been heard in several huge TV shows, movies, and commercials, pushing their exposure through to the mainstream. Since their early days, they’ve been nominated for eight Grammy awards and have racked up countless praises for their songwriting and the overall craftsmanship of their music.

Opening the night for Death Cab is Jenny Lewis, a folk-rooted singer/songwriter from San Fernando Valley, California. Her claim to fame primarily came from her role as the lead singer in her band Rilo Kiley, which disbanded in 2014. Before then, though, she had already begun establishing herself as a powerful solo artist; she released her debut solo record Rabbit Fur Coat in 2006, and would go on to release three more solo albums – the latest being 2019’s On the Line.

Get ready to jam hard and kick off your summer right with this show!

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
