Rammstein Shares New NSFW Music Video for “Radio”

Rammstein, the German band just released a new music video for their single, “Radio” which is on their upcoming 7th album. According to THEPRP, the new album is set to release on May 17th on Caroline Records. “DEUTSCHLAND” was the first single released from their new album on March 28th and now “Radio” is the second single released by the band. Their new single is very catchy with a fast beat and has interesting electric keys. The word “radio” is repeated throughout the song and gets stuck in your head. The song has a memorable melody that makes you want to see along or even hum to later.

The video is in black and white and the entire band is wearing suits creating an interesting classic elegant vibe. The aesthetic of the video seems to be 1960’s Germany where there were many old radios and when the radio had great influence over society. The actual band contrasts the rest of the scenes where many people are exploring their sexuality and its connection to an actual radio. It also explores the German working class and shows how they praise the object. All the characters in the video collectively praise the radio, but half-way through the video becomes more violent. The radio is an object of destruction rather than praise. Soldiers start to confront the citizens who are praising the radio and snatch the device away from them. The soldiers then march into the building where the band, Rammstein is performing and they dance along. The band then walks out of the building in holographic form. Overall, it is a mind-boggling video with a striking aesthetic. Much like their video for  “DEUTSCHLAND”, the band yet again explores a very complicated German history and past.
