One of the biggest performers that was expected to perform at Coachella 2019, Solange Knowles, has cancelled her set just days before the festival. The news broke via a tweet from the festival, which indicated that the singer had to pull out due to major production delays. Her set was scheduled to be on Saturday, April 13 and Saturday, April 20, 2019.
Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year's festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.

The tweet goes on to say that the singer offers her “sincerest apologies” and suggests that she’ll be performing at the festival in the future. It hasn’t been announced by the festival if they plan to fill her time slot with another artist or simply adjust the current schedule to give already-announced artists longer sets. Coachella begins on Friday, April 12 with the first weekend closing out on Sunday, April 14, with week two running April 19-21.
The headliners for the 2019 festival include Tame Impala, Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino. Last year, Solange’s older sister Beyonce performed at Coachella as the Saturday night headliner, leading many to call the festival “Bey-chella.” She was scheduled to perform as the headliner at Coachella 2017, but had to pull out of the festival. In this case, Beyonce did so following doctors orders; she was pregnant with twins at the time of the festival. She was replaced by Lady Gaga.
