Chaos AB Music Festival Announces 2019 Lineup Including Rob Zombie, Slayer and GWAR

The inaugural Chaos AB Music Festival has announced its first ever line-up, consisting of numerous metal acts such as Rob Zombie, Slayer, Disturbed, GWAR and Marilyn Manson. This two-day metal festival will take place from July 26th-27th in at Kinsmen Park, in Alberta. Canada, the capital city of the Canadian providence.

Other prominent metal artists such as Headstones ,Animals as Leaders, One Bad Son, Royal Tusk, Light the Torch, The Dirty Nil, and Selfish Things are announced as performers, while others are to be announced. The festival is a play on the Sepultura album, Chaos A.D., and the two-letter code for the Canadian province of Alberta.

“Every aspect of the maiden year of Chaos AB is built on the vision of bringing a high-quality rock event to the people who live and breathe this lifestyle every day,” said Nhaelan McMillan of promoters Live Nation Canada in a press release. “We promise to deliver the ultimate rock experience right here in our own backyard.”

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at the festival’s official website located here. Both GA and VIP packages will be available for the fans with the GA tickets costing $179.95 and the VIP tickets costing $289.95 for both days. Single day passes will be made available, but at an unspecified date.

Rob Zombie is set to co-headline the Notorious Twins of Evil tour with Marilyn Manson this summer across 20 various locations in the US and Canada. As an ardent musician, who is notorious for defending his own creative freedom and pursuits, Rob Zombie signed deal with Nuclear Blast Records.

“I am very excited to work with the fine folks at Nuclear Blast,” Rob Zombie regarding the deal. “The combination of the label’s grassroots urge to get the hustle done mixed with the detonation of our most combustible melodic masterpiece yet should prove to be a winning hybrid of hellacious hullabaloo.”

Slayer are currently in the midst of their retirement tour, and have recently announced a second leg for the tour this year. Numerous metal acts such as fellow thrash legends Anthrax, Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God and Amon Amarth have also joined in.

Toward the end of last year the band’s guitarist Gary Holt announced he would be taking a leave of absence from the band, with Phil Demmel, the former guitarist of Machine Head, stepping in. Holt announced he was taking this leave to watch after his ill father.

“First things first. I want to thank you to Berlin for the amazing show – best crowd ever,” Holt began in social media post. “But what I’ve got to say has been very hard for me these last 10 days or so. My father is very near the end of his journey. I’ve been playing these last several shows with the heaviest of hearts – and with the heavy heart, I have to announce I am leaving Slayer’s European tour.”

In February Jamison Land announced that he would be leaving GWAR. He stated that his leave was inspired by his decision to focus on his family and driving.
