West fans will rejoice! Cemented by Coachella Music Festival’s official tweets, “Kanye West’s Sunday Service on Easter, Weekend 2,” Kanye West is going to take the festival-goers to church on April 21 at 9 a.m. local time. His gospel-inspired Easter Sunday Service will perform on the last day of weekend 2, joining the festival lineup that includes Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala.
Sunday Service is a gospel choir initiated by Kanye West at the beginning of this year. The news was first shared by Kim Kardashian West’s twitter page in a tweet that read; “Our new Sunday Service is starting. Check out the rehearsals on my Instagram stories.” For the following months, there were some music snippets on the media platforms revealing the actual face of secret music performance in Easter Sunday Service. West’s church service is a gospel-themed choir that mainly congregates music eminences and his friends, such as Kid Cudi, 070 Shake and many more. Kanye West and Kid Cudi has frequent collaboration for a long time, last year they teamed up for the 2018 album “Kids See Ghosts.”
According to Pitchfork, due to the divergent opinion about the design of the performance stage at Coachella, Kanye West pulled out at the last minute for being one of the headliners in the fest. But now the big name has decided to bring God-spirit back with his Sunday Service crew. Coachella 2019 will be held on April 12 to 14 and April 19 to 21 in Indio, California.
