Since their split, members of the alternative rock band Rilo Kiley have been working on a slew of solo and alternate music projects on their own. However, fans of the band can be hopeful of a potential reunion in the future, as at least one member seems to be keen on the idea. In a recent interview with NME, Jenny Lewis expressed her interest in a Rilo Kiley reunion, stating that her mantra is “Yes.”
In 2011, Rilo Kiley was on an extended hiatus before they officially split due to some disagreements between band members. Blake Sennett, the band’s lead guitarist had shared some insight on the frustration that plagued the members, stating that there was “a lot of deception, disloyalty, greed, and things [he didn’t] really want to subject [himself] to.”
Since their formation in 1998, the Los Angeles band have put out a total of 6 albums together with the latest being Rkives in 2013. Rkives was a compilation album that consisted of several unreleased tracks, which included some that were used as B-sides to their past singles.
Lewis has had an eventful 2019 thus far, having already released several tracks and being included in the lineups for a handful of upcoming festivals. In the past week, she released “Wasted Youth” that is off of her forthcoming album, On The Line. She also put out “Heads Gonna Roll” and “Red Bull & Hennnessy” earlier this year. She is set to perform at this year’s Ohana Festival Del Mar and Pilgrimage Music Festival.
