Tool fans can expect a new album from the band very soon. In January this year, frontman Maynard James Keenan revealed on Twitter that the vocals for their latest record have already finished being recorded and he last updated fans about a potential release expected between Mid-May and Mid-July this year.

According to Theprp.com, Tool have now progressed into the mastering phase of their much awaited album. The alternative icons shared a picture on their Facebook of the band’s members at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, Maine. The photo also includes Bob Ludwig, who also mastered Tool’s previous record, 10,000 Days, which received wide-acclaim across the globe.
Just yesterday, Tool also announced the dates to their 2019 Summer Tour that sees the band travel to major parts of the United States and Europe. With their upcoming release, Tool will have their hands full with the approaching festival season. They are set to perform at Welcome to Rockville Festival, Chicago Open Air and Epicenter Festival in May, as well as Hellfest Open Air in June, amongst others.
Tool are made up of Keenan, Danny Carey, Adam Jones, and Justin Chancellor. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, the alternative metal band has won three Grammy’s over the course of their career and have put off several chart-topping albums including Ænima, Lateralus, and 10,000 Days.
