Iceage and Shame @ The Roxy 4/15

Danish punk rock band Iceage are also listed on Goldenvoice’s list of April shows occurring around Coachella weekend. The band will perform at the Roxy Theatre on Monday, April 15th. They will receive support from British alternative rock band Shame. Tickets for the show range from $20 to $22. Doors for the event will open at 7:00 PM, with initial sounds beginning at 8:00 PM. The show will be available to all ages.

Iceage were established in 2008 with roots from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band lineup consists of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt, Dan Kjær Nielsen, Johan Suurballe Wieth, and Jakob Tvilling Pless. Over the years, the group has released four studio albums that were well received. Their first three albums were all nominated for IMPALA’s European Independent Album of the Year Award in 2011, 2013, 2014, respectively. Their more recent record entitled Beyondless was also well received and was intended to “radiate joy” with its post-punk style. Track two even features backing vocals from the talented Sky Ferreira.

Joining Iceage on this evening will be British rock group Shame. Shame consists of Eddie Green, Charlie Forbes, Josh Finerty, Sean Coyle-Smith, and Charlie Steen. Their debut 2018 record Songs of Praise immediately gained the attention of many listeners and even reached numbed one on The Official Vinyl Albums chart in the UK.

These two bands together will surely call for a fun night. Hit the link below to get your tickets today.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
