Solange’s New Album When I Get Home Releases Tonight

Solange Knowles has been teasing the social media world with indications of a new project these past few days. Earlier this morning, she even released a hotline for fans to call for some juicy song snippets.

The wait is over and fans can all finally rejoice The singer-songwriter just dropped news revealing that her new album will be dropping at midnight tonight (Eastern).

Pitchfork reports that Solange’s upcoming album was already being discussed last year, with even potential release set for last fall. In an interview with the New York Time’s T Magazine, she revealed that the project features recordings that took place in several locations, such as New Orleans, Louisiana, the Topanga Canyon in California, and even Jamaica. Titled When I Get Home, her new album follows her 2016 record, A Seat at the Table, and is said to be centered on jazz, with incorporations of electronic, hip-hop, and drum and bass.

Since her 2016 release, the younger Knowles sister has kept herself busy, performing at numerous festivals worldwide and even directing music video for SZA last year. She is slated to grace the festival circuit once again, with appearances already set for NOS Primavera Sound in Porto, Portugal, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain.

Solange is just excited as you are for this release. Get ready, as she has assured us that the record will definitely “make your trunk rattle.”
