Hop Along & Soccer Mommy @ El Rey 4/16

With the recent praise of their newest album, indie rock band Hop Along is set to perform in Los Angeles as part of Goldenvoice’s list of April shows. The quartet’s show will take play at El Rey Theatre on Tuesday, April 16th. They will be joined by fellow indie musician Soccer Mommy. Tickets for the event are going to cost $25 with some additional fees. Doors for the performance will open at 7:00 PM while the initial sounds will begin at 8:00 PM. The event will be available to all ages.

Hop Along got its start in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2005. What began as Frances Quinlan’s solo project in her late teens, Hop Along eventually evolved into a fully fledged band. The group faced various changes in their roster over the years; the band’s current lineup consists of Frances Quinlan, Mark Quinlan, Tyler Long, and Joe Reinhart. Hop Along’s newest album entitled Bark Your Head Off, Dog features nine great songs in its tracklist. Band members stated that the album was essentially produced by all four members, with everyone’s ideas being implemented. This strategy evidently reflected on the album’s success as most critics favored the 2018 record.

As previously stated, Hop Along will receive support from the talented Nashville musician, Soccer Mommy. Since the release of her debut album last year, Soccer Mommy’s popularity has been increasing. She was also involved in Paramore’s and Foster The People’s 2018 Summer tour.

Both acts will certainly put on a great show. Hit the link below to get your tickets now.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
