British Music Embassy Presents SXSW 2019 Day Parties

It’s hard to think of SXSW without the British Music Embassy coming to mind. It has been a staple at SXSW for the last decade showcasing some of the newest and best talent the U.K. has to offer. This year for SXSW 2019, British Music Embassy will return for a 12th year when Latitude 30 will be the host once again for seven days of music from the U.K.

British Music Embassy will have four daytime and seven night time showcases March 10th through March 16th at Latitude 30. Some of the artists that are scheduled to play during the daytime showcases are hard hitting punk band The Dunts, where their live performances have rewarded them with sold-out shows in their hometown and festitval stages including Electric Fields, Belladrum and the famous Reading and Leeds. The Brummies, a rock band who just released their debut album Eternal Reach, a love story and were quoted saying that “it’s very thematic and it sounds like a movie.” London’s Husky Loops, where their track Everytime I run is featured on FiFA 19 soundtrack and who will also be playing a handful of shows across the country for the first time. And veteran musician Harkin, who’s been a touring member of Sleater Kinney, Wild Beasts, Kurt Vile and plays alongside Courtney Barnettt. She also released three albums with her band Sky Larkin and later were asked to open for artists such as Stereolab, Conor Oberst and Frightened Rabbit. Fun fact she even has a Saturday Night Live sketch named after her (Fred Armisen’s 2016 “Harkin Brothers Band”).

British Music Embassy never fails to bring artists that will engage the crowd and make sure the energy is high.
