Young The Giant and Fitz and The Tantrums Announce Summer 2019 Co-Headlining Tour Dates

Chart topping bands Young the Giant and Fitz and the Tantrums announced a co-headline North American tour to happen summer of 2019. Alternative fans across the country are in for a treat as the groups will hit 24 states with special guests COIN and Alice Merton joining in for certain shows.

The extensive tour will kick off in Colorado at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater on June 12 and continue into late August. A special homecoming show will take place at The Forum in Los Angeles as both groups have roots tracing back to Southern California.

Young the Giant recently released their latest album in 2018, the first new music for the group since 2016. Mirror Master, their fourth album, features their single “Superposition” which just reached #1 on the Alternative radio chart. The track is also making way on the Shazam Top 100, entering the top 10 at rock songs making is a multi-format success. To celebrate the kick off of their tour Young the Giant also performed “Superposition” on NBC’s “Late Show with Seth Meyers” after a previous appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Fitz and the Tantrums plan on releasing new music within the year, further details are to be announced soon. Their most recent release is the 2016 critically acclaimed “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS.” This album features tracks like RIAA-certified 2x-Platinum “Handclap” and “Fool.” Prior to “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS,” the band released breakout album “MORE THAN JSUT A DREAM.” This album highlighted tracks “The Walker” and “Out of My League.” Both reached #1 at Alternative Radio and helped the band receive well deserved recognition.

Pre-sale tickets for the tour are available starting Wednesday, February 20 and general sale begins Friday, February 22. COIN will join the tour June and July and Alice Merton will take their place in August.
