Americana-centered festival Hinterland has just announced its lineup for 2019. The festival has featured some big names in the past like Ray LaMontagne, alt-j, and CHVRCHES, and this year is no different. 2019 will see Hozier, Brandi Carlile, and Grammy-winner Jason Isbell headlining the three-day festival. Hinterland will be held at the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater, in Saint Charles, Iowa from August 2 to August 4. Tickets can be purchased here.
Hinterland offers attendees a unique camping experience in the Iowa countryside. Festival goers can choose to set camp just a short walk away from the festival grounds, where they can spend their mornings enjoying beautiful sunrises. There will also be an area for young ones, Hinterkids, where parents can bring their children to engage in some craftworks. The festival will also have various food and drink options to cater to all types of diets, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and even dairy-free. This year, Brandi Carlile will be returning to the lineup after first performing at Hinterland 2015. Also included in the lineup is Grammy-winning country star Kacey Musgraves, who is also set to play at this year’s Governors Ball in New York City. Hippo Campus, Tennesee’s The Wood Brothers, Dawes, and Canadian folk ensemble The Dead South are also names you should look out for. Hinterland will also feature breakthrough artist Maggie Rogers, who recently released her debut studio album, Heard It in Past Life, earlier this year.
