The Kooks @ Hollywood Palladium 2/12

Following the rescheduling of their U.S. tour, English indie rock band The Kooks are slated to perform in Los Angeles next month. The trio will be performing at the Hollywood Palladium on Tuesday, February 12th. The band will receive support from Barns Courtney and Future Feats. General admission standing tickets are priced at $35 with platinum tickets at $76 and more. Doors for the event will open at around 6:00 PM, with the opening sounds beginning at 7:00 PM. The show will be open to all ages.

The Kooks were formed in 2004 and have undergone several changes in their roster over the years. The current lineup consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals/rhythm guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar/synthesizer), and Alexis Nunez (drums). Their sound is greatly influenced by the post-punk revival era and involves several genres including, rock, Britpop, pop, reggae, ska, and more recently, funk, and hip-hop. Their more recent album entitled Let’s Go Sunshine featured experimental sounds which some fans appreciated. After the release of their album the band was set to begin their tour in November of 2018, however, they had to rescheduled due to “unforeseen circumstances”. It was later confirmed that this was due to Peter Denton’s complications with the band.

Although missing the talented Denton, the band will still put on an amazing show. Hit the link below to get your tickets soon before they sell out!

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
