Justice Release New Video for “Heavy Metal” Featuring 220-Piece Marching Band

Electro duo Justice continues to raise the bar with not only their performances but their music videos as well. They have released a new music video for their song Heavy Metal, off of their Grammy-nominated album, Woman Worldwidereleased in August. The new clip is directed by Filip Nilsson and features the 220-member Norfolk State University Spartan Legion marching band, one of the premier college marching bands in the country. It sees the band melded a meticulously choreographed physical and musical performance to Justice’s song, blending a live version from the band and the album’s version of the song. Nilsson made a statement about choosing the band, saying “I came across a clip of this marching band from Norfolk in Virginia over a year ago. I immediately knew that these guys had something special and that wanted to make a music video with them one day.”

He continued to say, “Months passed and then suddenly the Heavy Metal track by Justice came my way. We contacted the marching band leader, William Bethea, and it felt like we all knew at that point that we had to make this work. I wanted his marching band of 220 people to play the track as well as create a customized choreography. We knew it would be far from easy to pull it off. It was a very strong and emotional experience working with these musicians and dancers.”See the crazy good visual below. They recently closed up shop with promoting their latest album, with their last show being HARD Day of the Dead this past November alongside Die Antwoord, Cashmere Cat, and Knife Party.
