Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive @ Franklin Music Hall 5/11

Metalcore bands Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive have announced a co-headlining tour set for this summer. The Collapse the World Tour will be coming to Philadelphia when the two bands play outside at Franklin Music Hall in what used to be known as the Electric Factory. The show will be at 6:30 PM on May 11th. The two bands will be switching off as closers with Parkway Drive doing the honors here in Philly.

Killswitch Engage began back in 1999 when members remaining from the breakups of Overcast and Aftershock came together in Massachusetts. The band released its most recent album Incarnate which came out back in March of 2016. They announced plans for another album last year, but that has been pushed back multiple times and the band has said that it is expected early in 2019.

This past year was a big one for Welsh metalcore band Parkway Drive who released their sixth studio album Reverence back in May. The hit album featured a bit cleaner of a sound than what has been previously released by the group, but takes on more maturity as well. The band took home the award for best heavy metal album at the ARIA Awards this year thanks to Reverence’s success. They also enjoyed an impressive tour this year when they teamed up with  August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada.
