With a new album in the works, industrial metal band Ministry is set to close their U.S. tour in Los Angeles. The newly reestablished band will be having two shows at the Fonda Theater. One show will occur today at 7:45 PM and the other tomorrow at the same time. Doors for the shows will open at 7:00 PM. The six man band will receive support from famous guitarists, Dave Navarro and Chris Connelly and bands, Carpenter Brut and Alien Weaponry. Tickets for both shows are going to cost concert goers $48. The shows at the Fonda will be available to all ages.
Ministry was founded in 1981 at Chicago, Illinois by cuban singer Al Jourgensen. The band lineup has gone through several variations throughout the years with Jourgensen remaining as one of the original members. The current Ministry roster consists of lead vocalist Al Jourgensen, keyboardist John Bechdel, guitarist Sin Quirin, guitarist and backing vocalist Cesar Soto, bassist and backing vocalist Tony Campos, drummer Derek Abrams and soon to feature ex-bassist Paul Baker again. Since the bands reestablishment in 2011, they have released three studio albums and are currently working on a new one. Their more recent album entitled AmeriKKKant featured political themes against the alt-right and consisted of messages regarding the aftermath of the 2016 election. The album was dubbed as a “piece of art”.
These last shows of The AmeriKKKan Tour will surely end with a bang. With old friendships restored, Ministry will also easily transition from the tour life to the studio life to provide fans with new music.
