Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill has announced his first headlining tour since his release from prison in April. Meek’s release followed a long legal battle that was well documented in Philly, as it helped to motivate a movement against harsh sentencing stemming from racial injustice in the judicial system. “The Motivation Tour” as he is calling it will include a stop at the newly renovated Met which continues to add huge names to its list of shows.
Meek is in the midst of a very busy week which will eventually amount to the release of his newest album Championships, this Friday the 30th. Meek will also appear on The Ellen Show later this week, and just recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. There is not a lot known about Championships thus far, but we do have two singles that Meek has already released. Just last week he dropped “Oodles o’ Noodles Babies” and “Uptown Vibes” featuring Fabolous and Anuel AA. Tickets will go on sale Friday, so keep an eye out as this hometown show will not be one you want to miss.
