Deerhunter @ Lodge Room 1/17

American rock sextet, Deerhunter, is scheduled to have a special performance the night before their album release. The indie rock band will be performing at the Lodge Room in Highland Park on Thursday, January 17th of next year. The 4AD group will be supported by up and coming duo Confusing Mix of Nations, otherwise known as CMON. Tickets for the event are going to cost concert goers $25 with some additional fees. Doors for the event will open at 7:00 PM, while opening sounds will begin at 8:00 PM. This show will be available to all ages.

Deerhunter is a rock band that has roots from Atlanta, George and was founded in 2001. The current band roster consists of Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Moses Archuleta (drums, electronics, sound treatments), Lockett Pundt (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Josh McKay (bass) and Javier Morales (keyboards, synthesizers, alto saxophone). The band has primarily been known for their signature sound deemed as “ambient punk”. Throughout their 17 year career span, the band has conjured seven studio albums with their newest being released next January. Their anticipated eighth studio album entitled Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? is going to be a 10 track album that contains their recently released single Death in Midsummer. Deerhunter fans are undoubtedly excited for this new album after a four year hiatus.

Deerhunter has been an imaginative band with a unique take on rock music. They’ve had several hits throughout the mid 2000s and continue to please fans with their signature sound. Check the link below to see the band perform their newest album next January.
