The partnership was founded in 2012 with its origin being from Seattle, Washington. Their first studio album, Summer’s Gone, was well received and helped set off their careers. Their second album, In Return, was released two years later and was the duo’s debut release on Ninja Tune. The track entitled Say My Name from that album earned the group their first grammy nomination at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards in 2016. Their third album, A Moment Apart, also had an amazing reception and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, while reaching number one on the Top Electronic/Dance Albums chart. The album received two Grammy nominations including Best Dance/Electronic Album and Line of Sight for Best Dance Recording.

Since the release of their third album, the duo has been touring around the world. With performances at Laneway Festival and Coachella at the beginning of the year, ODESZA really knows how to put on a show at massive festivals. Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
