Ricardo Valdez Valentine, aka 6LACK, reigns from Atlanta, Georgia. The musician has been part of the new wave of R&B artists, like SZA, H.E.R., Roy Woods, and Bryson Tiller. His track Prblms is one of the most popular singles that he has released. In 2018, it was even nominated in the Grammy Awards as the Best Rap Performance. In April of the same year, he released OTW with fellow popular musicians, Khalid and Ty Dolla Sign. The single performed well and peaked at 57 on the Billboard Hot 100. Just this past month 6LACK released his second studio album entitled East Atlanta Love Letter. The album features collaborations from artists like Future, J. Cole, and Offset. 6LACK’s record received favorable reviews and was deemed to be “a moody masterpiece”.

With a young and thriving career, 6LACK is definitely a musician to take note of. He brings a refreshing take on R&B music that seemed to be uncommon for a while. Hit the link below to purchase your tickets to see 6LACK, Tierra Whack, and Summer Walker at The Novo.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
