The Smashing Pumpkins Are Locked Up In a Haunted House in New Music Video for “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)” Starring Mark McGrath

The Smashing Pumpkins have released the music video for their latest song “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)” the band’s second release following “Solara,” in June. The video was directed and written by Billy Corgan and showcases the band in front of a haunted house of what seems to be a radio promotion, with the promoter being the one and only Mark McGrath. Once in the house, the band playing the song while the guests are watching the performance from a television screen. Check out the fun video below.

The Smashing Pumpkins recently announced their new LP Shiny And Oh So Bright, VOL. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun, set to be released November 16th. In a radio interview earlier this year, Corgan mentioned that the album is unlike the other albums the band has released recently, saying that there is no concept and will be similar to their 1994 album “Pisces Iscariot”, a collection of rare songs. It will be the band’s first album since Monuments of an Elegy in 2014.

In another interview with James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, Corgan then mentioned a possibility of “writing one last grand, operatic released ala Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness,” one of the best selling albums of all time.
