He was part of the band Farofa Carioca where he wrote most of the songs. He has also been featured in several films as an actor and composer. Specifically, Jorge played the role of Mané Galinha in the critically acclaimed movie, City of God. More recently, Jorge has been praised for his tributes to David Bowie. Just this past year, Jorge performed at David Bowie’s native city in London where he honored the artist.

This time Jorge brings the same performance to Los Angeles. Concert goers will be able to experience the adaptations of the popular Bowie songs in a unique Brazilian style. The Portuguese compositions not only honor David Bowie but also reflect Jorge’s vibrant culture was well.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
