According to ThePRP, the Norwegian music group Ulver is set to perform in the United States for the first time. The band announced that they will be performing at the Irving Plaza in New York City, NY on March 21. Tickets for the concert will go on-sale Friday, October 5. This is the only date that has been announced however, there are reports that they are pursuing the idea of some other performance dates in the United States.
This performance by Ulver comes 25 years into their career and after some shifts in their musical genre. The group has catered to their American fans as they partnered with a Cleveland-based company which allowed them to sell their merchandise in the United States. Fans were able to buy the vinyl records for the numerous albums they have released other their long career. As far releases go, Ulver has remained quite for most of the year with their last releases being Sic Transit Gloria Mundi and the critically acclaimed The Assassination of Julius Caesar. The band has made many appearances though, with their most recent performance at Extramuralhas, which was held in Portugal. One member of the band, Kristoffer Rygg, can be heard on Thomas Giles newest song “Milan” as he appears as a feature. The group will make their next appearance at Red Bull Music Festival: Drone Activity Oslo.
