Folk-rock group Mumford & Sons have announced that their new album Delta, is set to be released November 16th via Glassnote Records. The band also released their new single, “Guiding Light,” premiering it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this past Monday. Watch the performance below. It is the band’s fourth studio album and serves as the follow up to their 2015 album, Wilder Mind. According to a press release, Delta was written entirely by the band, produced by Paul Epworth and recorded at London’s Church Studios. “Guiding Light” brings the band back to their acoustic roots while singing “All day permanent red, The glaze on my eyes, When I heard your voice, The distance caught me by surprise again.” With their last album, they experimented with a more electric rock sound, which proved to be a success. Wilder Mind earned the #1 spot in multiple countries including the U.S., U.K., Austrailia, Canada, Norway, and The Netherlands.
Prior to Wilder Mind, the band released their EP Johannesburg in 2016. The EP was recorded while the band was in South Africa that same year, collaborating with Senegalese singer Baaba Maal, South African pop group Beatenberg, and Malawian-British singer-producer The Very Best.
The band will also be going on a sixty-date extensive worldwide tour beginning later this year. The full list of tour dates will be released on October 4th. The band recently played the Ohana Music Festival alongside Beck, The Yeah-Yeah-Yeah’s, Eddie Vedder, Norah Jones, and Young The Giant in Dana Point, CA.
