GTA with Kittens @ Exchange LA 9/29

Electronic duo GTA are slated to perform at Exchange in DTLA on Sat. September 29th. The artists, which are under the Mad Decent label, will be supported by Kittens, Paul Devro, Akira Akira, and Chaboi. Tickets for the event are going to be $25 for general admission and $90 for VIP with additional fees. The venue is strictly for those that are 21 years old or older. Initial sounds from the event will begin at 10:00 PM.

Widely known for their iconic remix of Party Up by Destructo, GTA is certainly one of the most favored duos in EDM. The duo consists of JWLS and Van Toth, who have also gained a reputation for their individual releases. They’ve played at numerous major music festivals and have opened up for Rihanna during her ‘Diamonds World Tour’ in 2013. GTA constantly release bangers that eventually evolve into anthems. Their music is always upbeat and their DJ sets always consist of diverse genres.

Joining GTA on this exciting night will be Kittens who is a DJ/producer that has worked with Usher, Skrillex, and Kid Cudi. Kittens has been very vocal about paving the way for women in the DJ scene and has hosted several female-only DJ workshops to support her cause. Her workshops are held under the charity name PWR in which she donates all proceeds to women shelters. Not only is Kittens a major influence to local female musicians, but she is also considered to be one of the main DJs that helped evolve the club scene in LA.

Paul Devro, Akira Akira, and Chaboi are also DJs worth going early to see. They all provide their own style to the, sometimes, saturated EDM scene. These DJs have been recognized to play Moombahton, Jersey Club, Baile Funk, Dembow, and other Global Bass music. Like GTA and Kittens, these DJs know how to maintain the energy on the dance floor. The lineup for this show is stacked and will definitely have fans moving all night.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
