HARD Day of the Dead @ LA Historic Park 11/3

Insomniac resurrects one of the best music festivals in all of California. The iconic event that usually features popular electronic, hip-hop, and indie artists returns to Los Angeles just like old times. The festival will take place at the LA Historic Park in DTLA on Sat. November 3rd. There is no further information as of now but the festival is known for starting at around 12:00 PM.

Under recent complete ownership from Insomniac Events, Hardfest has been deemed to be changing for the better. Insomniac has actually owned Hardfest for a couple of years now, but it wasn’t until this year that Gary Richard’s contract expired leading to Insomniac running the show entirely. For those unaware, Gary Richards is the founder of Hardfest and is responsible for the foundation of events under the signature “HARD” name. Richards is also a globally known DJ/producer that goes by the moniker Destructo. In previous DOTD festivals, Richards was respected for having the most diverse and talented artists on the lineup. People like Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Deadmau5, Future, Gesaffelstein, Justice, Kavinsky, Skrillex, The Weeknd, and Ty Dolla Sign were just a few of the diverse acts that have performed in the previous years. Hopefully, Insomniac can follow the same trend and get artists of similar caliber on the lineup.

Although Richards will always be considered the biological father of HARD, it’s Insomniac’s turn to see what they can make of the traditional event. Richards has certainly set the bar high but there is no doubt that Insomniac can perfectly execute DOTD. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on this event these next few days as we approach the Halloween season.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
