The Regrettes Announce Departure of Bassist Sage Chavis Has Quit and Will Release a New Album in 2019

The Regrettes are one of the most exciting new bands on the scene, with their debut LP Feel Your Feelings, Fool! being one of mxdwn’s favorites of 2017. In fact, that record and their dynamic live performances earned the band a place as our 2017 Best New Artist. Today the band announced on Instagram that their bass player Sage Chavis has quit the band.

In the post, the band explains that while she has decided to leave the band, they remain on good terms with the former bassist. There’s no word on who will be a replacement for Chavis in The Regrettes. However, the post does explain that the band will be continuing on and will release a new record in 2019. Take a look at the post below:

It certainly has been a rapid rise for the band, who are led by Lydia Night. Their debut album was released on Warner Brothers Records, spanning earworms like “Seashore.” They also released an EP in 2018 called Attention Seeker, which included the song “Come Through.”
