Avenged Sevenfold Teases New Song Written For Call of Duty Black Ops Video Game and Nobody Noticed

Last month Avenged Sevenfold dropped a huge hint about the pending release of a new song, and nobody seemed to notice, until now. As reported by Loudwire, on August 15h, Avenged Sevenfold released a recap video from their European festival dates. At the end of the clip, the logo for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 appears and a brief snippet of new music is heard. This is in reference to the upcoming game, which is set to drop on October 12th and will feature a new A7X song as part of the soundtrack.

This is not the first time A7X has released a song for the video game franchise, as the track “Carry On” was released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. There is no word yet on when the soundtrack album will drop, but considering that the video game comes out in a little over a month, fans can expect new music from A7X sometime in the near future.

There is no word yet on when Avenged Sevenfold will release a new full-length album as they are still trying to resolve a lengthy legal dispute with their record label, though the band did reissue their latest record, The Stage, earlier this year. There has been little other activity from the band as they were forced to cancel their massive North American tour with the Prophets of Rage due to lead singer M. Shadows needing to go on vocal rest.

You can watch Avenged Sevenfold’s recap video in the player below. The new music snippet starts at around the 3:57 mark in the video.
