Synth Pop Rock outfit Pale Waves certainly are masters at getting their fans hyped. After unveiling new singles and music videos in the form of “Kiss” and “Noises” throughout the summer, the band has announced that their anticipated debut record My Mind Makes Noises will be dropping this upcoming mid-September.
And after releasing the single for “Eighteen” (and subsequently “Black” just last week) the band has unveiled a new music video for the track, teeming with nostalgia inducing atmosphere.
The Adam Powell-directed clip follows goth-inspired frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie down a winding road and into the forest during a dark midnight. The moody and mysterious video has an air of mystery, creating an ethereal sense of adolescent freedom as Baron-Gracie drives along empty streets.
Pale Waves the band formed in the mythic land of Manchester, England just four years ago when Baron-Gracie and now drummer Ciara Doran connected while attending British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Manchester. The band was fully completed with guitarist Hugo Silvani and Charlie Wood on bass. The band has managed a relatively quick rise in the charts since their start by earning a spot in BBC 1’s Brit List.
