Happy Sundays LBC with Julia of The Coathangers, Death Valley Girls, Audacity, & Jake Snider @ Zaferia District 8/26

Happy Sundays is back in Long Beach with its third installment of fun activities. The free event will take place on Sun. August 26th with music, art, and comedy occurring all around Zaferia District. Performances for the festival will begin as early as 11:00 AM so make sure you don’t oversleep! There will also be an ongoing trolley provided in the area so that festival goers can easily get to their preferred destinations.

Julia (from the Coathangers who we recently interviewed) and her husband Scott Montoya are the founders of the festival and have been dedicated to improving it every year. The festival aims to support local musicians and businesses of the Long Beach area. The lineup consists of very talented and diverse artists that will be performing all throughout Anaheim Street. Festival goers will be able to stop at different venues to catch different shows according to their liking. By hosting this free event full of entertainment, Happy Sundays is essentially bringing the community and its culture together. In addition, there will also be some charity work from the Happy Sundays sponsors during the event. Boxed Water will be providing free water to all guests attending the event in hopes to reduce plastic waste, while Golden Road Brewery will be donating a portion of their beer sales to the Studios For Schools foundation.

All in all, Happy Sundays is going to be a memorable event full of nonstop fun. Grab some friends, come on down, and let loose all while enjoying the finest entertainment in the Long Beach area!

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
